D-E 360° Introduces a New Enrichment Virtual Seminar Series (Free!)

Our ACE Team continues the work of vibrantly bringing students of all ages together after school. Each week we bring programs that have never before been offered to Lower School families in a format that allows students and families to connect with one another.

Last week, we enjoyed an introduction to the Arabic language and alphabet – saying new sounds and writing in the most unusual style of right to left! Taught by native speaker (and educator and DE parent) Lina Akula, we had a grand time! When we were introduced to the Arabic keyboard and how names are written phonetically, one LS student, Livingston (Grade 1), made the astute observation that sometimes there are no exact words for everything in other languages.

Yes, Bulldogs take intellectual leaps at every possible juncture! Check out our quick photo gallery of kids at home, kids in school and kids online!

Previously we hosted: Mandarin Autograph, A Virtual Tour of Yankee Stadium, and the Big Birds of Flatrock Brook!

This Week: We’ve invited LS families to bring paints, pencils, and markers for Multimedia Painting with a professional artist to lead us! Bring the whole family (yes, parents are invited – but not required – to join in!).

Next Week: Dance to Hamilton the Musical led by professional Broadway Dancer on Thursday, February 18 at 5:15 PM.

 Other Upcoming Events:

  • A Visit with Wolves
  • Texas Digs: Meet a Real Archeologist
  • Fine Edibles Cooking Class
  • Minecraft: Virtual Adventures with Your Classmates (3 Sessions)
  • Perhaps another Visit to Yankee Stadium for those who missed this amazing online tour.
