We started the week with the excitement of the annual Lower School Book Fair. Lower School students look forward to this event because they get a chance to select new books that they might not have seen otherwise. Students also appreciate the wide range of books and the opportunity to browse throughout the entire book fair rather than be limited to a grade-level section. They also like that there are items other than books, and they really like the raffle – many thanks to the families who generously donated items, and congratulations to the winners!

Teachers are, of course, grateful as always to the families who donated new books to our classrooms. We are most fortunate to work in a school with such abundant resources, and we look forward to sharing these new books with students for many years to come.

And finally, a big thank you to everyone who contributed to All for Books. All for Books is an organization promoted by Scholastic, and it helps get books in the hands of children in need. We were able to purchase over 100 books which we will bring to The Center for Food Action here in Englewood. Children served by The Center for Food Action will be able to select brand new books donated by the Lower School.

The Book Fair would not happen without the hard work, dedication and commitment of our Lower School Parents Association for another wonderful event!
